See you in 2021

In our last blog post, we mentioned that we were really hoping to be open this golf season by Labor day or shortly after. However, after much debate, we have decided to remain closed for the rest of the season.

This was not an easy decision on our part, but we feel it is in the best interest of the golf course to use the fall to further enhance the playing experience for 2021. We are working tirelessly on the grounds and in the Clubhouse on exciting renovations we know you are going to love! We recently have begun the process of repairing all of the bunkers on the course. We are using a state of the art bunker liner that will produce some of the best bunkers in the state!

We have been overwhelmed with the response we have gotten from old members and interested golfers looking to play this season. We know the decision to stay closed this season will come as a disappointment to some, but we are confident that the wait will be worth it.

In the meantime, we have gotten a lot of interest from groups looking to move their league to Atlas Valley. We know that your current spot may need a confirmation by the end of the year. We will have more information regarding leagues within the next few weeks. Please fill out the form here to stay informed on everything league related: www.atlasvalleygolf.com/league-info

Thank you all for your continued interest and support. We can’t wait to welcome you all to the new and improved Atlas Valley in Spring of 2021!

Atlas Valley Status Update

The past few months have been very busy here at Atlas Valley. We are still working extremely hard to get the golf course back in pristine shape and to finish a multitude of renovations inside the clubhouse. We experienced some delays due to quarantine restrictions, but we are working hard to make up for lost time. We have a grounds crew of roughly 10 people working around the clock on the course bringing it back to life. We want to make sure that when we are able to open, we can welcome you to a safe, beautiful, updated golf course experience.

We are also pleased to announce that we have hired our full time superintendent, Andrew Dalton. Andrew comes to us from Metamora Country Club with over 20 years of experience. We are excited about what Andrew’s enthusiasm and experience will bring to the table. With this new addition and our current growing crew, we know that the golf course is in great hands.

We know all of you are very anxious to come out and play and to see all of the great updates we have been working on. We do not have an official open date yet, however, we are hopeful that we can be open this fall. We appreciate the continued interest and support from this community! We look forward to seeing you all soon!

Wire, Wire, Everywhere!

After taking ownership of Atlas Valley, we decided that there was no time like the present to update the irrigation system! With over 40 miles worth of wire to run and thousands of feet of PVC pipe to lay, it was quite an undertaking, but we managed to get it all installed before the first snowfall in November! There are still a few loose ends to tie up in the spring, like backfill and wiring the control boxes, but we are very excited for the progress we have made so far. Our next project will be adding in some drainage lines in areas around the golf course that are known to stay wet (holes 6,7,8, and 17, for example). We appreciate your patience as we complete these updates. These much needed renovations are sure to make your next visit to the course one to remember and then quickly repeat. Stay tuned for more updates as we reestablish Atlas Valley as one of the premier places to play golf!
